Is A 5 Drawer Too High
People who are very familiar with working offices and cubicles are surely quite familiar with the 5 drawer file cabinet. In a large office setting these cabinets essentially become walls in certain environments and they act as barriers between work spaces for individual employees because of their size. They are very tall and often wide. Of course the reason for this is the large groups of people working in these office settings. As more people work in smaller spaces the filing needs of the group grow and often offices run out of floor space without using the tall 5 drawer file cabinet.

If however you decide that your office at work or in the home would be better off with a larger lateral 5 drawer filing cabinet you will have slight restrictions on where to buy these large units. Most big box retailers and office supply stores do not carry filing cabinets in stock that are this large. Usually you have to order these cabinets from online merchants or specialty office furniture stores.
Sometimes you can find office liquidation stores which will have used 5 drawer file cabinets available for resell. This will keep your costs lower however your options for purchase will obviously diminish. You can also check out name brand merchants for their selection of 5 drawer file cabinets. They may be more expensive with less availability but at least you'll be getting what you want. Assuming you don't have too many demands such as whether the filing cabinet is made of metal or wood or is black versus gray, you shouldn't have too many problems finding a buying exactly what you need.
